Report: Pope drafting first Encyclical
Vatican, Jul. 14 (CWNews.com) - Informed sources at the Vatican have confirmed that Pope Benedict XVI (bio - news) is writing his first encyclical during his summer vacation in the Italian Alps.Avvenire , the daily newspaper owned by the Italian bishops' conference, reports that the Pontiff has been working on a draft of the encyclical for several weeks, and plans to complete it during his stay at Les Combes.
The Vatican press office has not commented on the reports, but has said that during his vacation the Pope hoped to spend a good deal of free time reading and writing. The Holy Father brought several boxes of books with him to the isolated chalet in the Valle d'Aosta region where he will be staying for the next two weeks.
There has been no indication of the topic for the encyclical.

Nice blog. Keep it up ...
Sorry for posting an off topic question here but I think this particular one has a profound impact on our society.
The Pope says “Harry Potter corrupts the young, distorting their understanding of the battle between good and evil”. In a way, he is saying “Harry is Evil, Potter is Satan!”
Well, we know orthodox Christians also despise Uncle Santa Claus and all those at DisneyWorld, do you fancy a world without Cinderella, Snow White and Mr. Mickey Mouse?
