Supreme Nomination
Well, John Roberts has gotten the support of nearly every conservative I can find, but I can't help but to feel uneasy about this nomination.
I found out that Roberts is a Catholic, put himself through college by working in a steel mill, is married to an alleged former Vice President of Feminists for Life, and seems to be very qualified for the position. He also seems to be the scourge of pro-death groups, from NARAL to Planned Parenthood.
However, his lacking on statements on stances he holds is frightening. Ann Coulter, a conservative columnist, is not sold on him. I am not 100% sure I am either. He has contradictory statements on Roe v. Wade, which can be explained, but... They tell us he will be good, but they said that about Souter too. When the stakes are this high, it is hard to not be worried.
I suppose we will all have to wait until the confirmation hearings to find out. I just pray he is not another Souter, who was conservative until he got on the high court.
