Life
Well, the Diocese had its annual Summer Retreat. It was a nice time, though over shadowed by some personal family problems going on at the time. Me being me, I sat there and thought of ways to save the world from this crisis, couldn't sleep, and allowed it to dominate my mind. Oh well, it still ended up being a good retreat. The food was especially good this year. Now I am back home working on the Parish Website, working on the list of those I have to go and visit and take Holy Communion too, and working to save the world from our latest family crisis. And all this must be done in the two weeks I have left here before I go back to the Seminary.
Today I spent the day going to all the Roman Catholic Churches in my city, and taking pictures of them. I also gathered a little more information from the Parishes. Tomorrow, I will pay a visit to the Cemetery and take pictures there for the webpage. I also took pictures of our Parish School too.
Then I came home and wasted my day. I also read a little in the Ohio Revised Code to see what the law said about some issues.
All that I will say on my family crisis is this. Trust is a very important thing, and sometimes you need to be careful who you place your trust in. There is a terrible minority of people out there who will use you and take advantage of the trust you have in them. Additionally, Family always needs to come first. Far to often families are ripped apart because of a cancer growing in it which should not be there in the first place. There is the phrase, blood is thicker then water, and now some in my family are forgetting that. The immediate family is in agreement, it is the distant family which is causing all sorts of trouble now. As if things couldn't get any worse. Ah, thus is life. Finally, always try to remember Charity above all things. Extremely difficult, I know, but it is important to remember.
Well, that is all I have to say for now. When I am gone for a few days it always takes me a day or two to get updated on the happenings in the world. I feel like I have been gone a lifetime!
Pray for those Marines and other Service Men and Women who have died in Iraq. And keep all our Military in prayer as they defend freedom and our way of life.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night...
