National Sovereignty
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/4140992.stm
What is seen here is a blatant attack on a National Sovereign power. This is a threat which both the European Union and the United Nations posses to countries who are now struggling to maintain their own identity. This is an attempt at the One World Order and a One World Government, and the EU and the UN is the way in which these people are getting at that which they want.
When an international or inter-continental organization meant to either keep the peace or help counties better collaborate begins to dictate laws on a country, or even believe that they have the power to do so, is a terrible crime. I do not believe the EU or the UN has the authority to speak on Abortion either way. Neither organization was created for anything remotely close to that issue, and should not even be addressing it. Both organizations focus too much energy on promoting abortion, criticizing those who don't approve it, then on promoting justice and peace.
The people of Ireland have spoken numerous times on the issue of Abortion. The EU does not have the authority or the power to impose abortion on them. The EU is already on the verge failure, if they agree with these women and attempt to impose Abortion on the Irish People, then they will have a crisis of another kind on their hands and will most certainly lead to the dissolution of the Union. Of course, this wouldn't be such a bad thing since the EU already misrepresents the people of Europe, and fails to listen to what they say. A corrupt bureaucracy is never a good thing, especially when it believes that it has more authority than it really does.
These massive organizations must be put back in their place. They were not created to rule, they were created to serve. They were meant to help people, not over rule them. Nation's Sovereignty is under attack, and it is beyond time that these organizations are put back in their places.
